QR codes that actually get scanned.

One QR per location, one permanent URL, infinite reprints. Placement is what makes customers actually scan — here's how to do it right.

How they work

Every location in Starvo has a permanent slug like starvo.app/r/your-cafe. That URL is encoded in a QR you can download and print. Slugs never change so the QR stays valid forever — you can rebrand the location, rename your business, change owners, and the QR keeps working.

Where to place it

  • Receipts and bills. Print at the bottom — the customer has their phone out anyway to pay.
  • Table tents and folders. The QR should be visible during the meal so the decision is fresh.
  • Reception or checkout. Hotels and salons: counter standees or wall posters work well.
  • After-service emails. Embed the QR in your post-visit email or thank-you message.
Rule of thumb: place the QR where the customer is forming their opinion of you, not after they've already left. The closer to the moment of experience, the higher the response rate.

Five-step setup

  1. 1. Generate your QR. Each location gets a unique permanent slug. Download the PDF from your dashboard.
  2. 2. Choose a placement. Place where the customer naturally pauses at the end of an experience: receipts, table tents, bill folder, lobby, checkout.
  3. 3. Print and stick. Use sticker paper, lamination, or acrylic stands. The QR is high-contrast and works on any printer at 200+ DPI.
  4. 4. Test it. Scan with your own phone. Confirm the review page loads and the location name is right.
  5. 5. Track scans. Submissions appear in the dashboard in real time. On Free, you have 50 submissions per location per month.

FAQ

Where should I place the QR code?
High-touch, end-of-experience spots: bottom of receipts, on the bill folder, near the exit, on table tents, or on the back of menus. The customer should encounter it right when they are forming an opinion.
Does each location get its own QR code?
Yes. Every location has a permanent unique slug and QR code. Scans are attributed to the right location so multi-location accounts can see per-location dashboards.
Will my QR code ever change?
No. Slugs are permanent so printed materials never break. If you rebrand a location, the slug stays — only the display name changes.
